Non Wharton students can create a class account on online. However, before doing so they need to have a valid Penn id card and be registered for a Wharton class at least 24 hours prior to creating an account. For the Fall semester they can start creating their accounts on September 1st. The student can point their web browser to:
http://spike.wharton.upenn.edu
and click on the Log in link that is on the top left hand side of the screen. Then click on the Register link just below the login boxes. Follow the onscreen directions to apply for an account.
This account will give them access to the Wharton labs, a Wharton print account, and a Wharton email address (NOT an email account). The email will automatically be forwarded to whatever the student's primary school email address is. This account will also give them access to the WebCafé room(s) for the class(es) that they are registered for. This process can take up to 24 hours after their account is created.
Instructors: Please do NOT send students down to the Consulting office to create accounts.
