Interpreting the tables for multiple comparisons.

The JMP tables for the multiple comparison output are confidence interval endpoints.

There is no difference between the groups if the interval covers zero.

JMP orders the means from highest to lowest.

Hsu's compare with MIN.
           -2 -1 0 1 2
	----+----+----+----+----+----

           (------x------)
Case: Y_min - Y_j < 0.

Significant difference if right hand end of interval is less than 0 (negative).
Method: scan bottom row of table. Any column with a negative in the bottom row is significantly greater than the minimum.

Hsu's compare with MAX.

           -2 -1 0 1 2
	----+----+----+----+----+----

                        (------x------)
Case: Y_max - Y_j > 0.

Significant difference if left hand end of interval is greater than 0 (positive).
Method: scan top row of table. Any column with a positive in the top row is significantly less than the maximum.

Tukey's compare ALL pairs.

           -2 -1 0 1 2
	----+----+----+----+----+----

                        (------x------)
Case: |Y_i - Y_j| > 0.

Significant difference if left hand end of interval is greater than 0 (positive).
Method: scan table, positive entries show significant differences between pairs.
