Logistic Regression Analysis.

This question is based on the internet demographics dataset, uva.jmp, uva.txt.

Recall that the variable of interest is ``Newbie'' defined as those internet users in the survey who self report less than one years internet experience.

About 25% of users in the survey would be classified as Newbies. The objective of this question is to attempt to find demographic variables that help identify these new users. Use a logistic regression approach to identifying these variables.

Variables to choose from include (but you don't have to use country) :

     ``Education.Attainment'' ``Major.Occupation''    
     ``Marital.Status''

You should provide a 2 page writeup of your findings, addressing in particular whether or not this set of demographics has any predictive power.

The write up should address:

• Correct interpretation of categorical predictors.
• Interpretation of coefficients (odds, and probabilities).
• Uncertainty in estimated coefficients.
• Hypothesis tests for nested models.
• Goodness of fit test for the overall model (evidence of over-dispersion).
• Predictive power of the model.
• Residual analysis.
