Objectives
The course will provide students with an exposure to statistical methods intended for exploratory and creative data analysis. Students should become familiar with a range of modern tools and techniques suited to this task. Methods will be implemented in SPlus, the data analysis tools most suited to the approach taken in the course. Statistical theory will be addressed in so far as it guides practice, but not for its own sake.
